Things to do on Sunday...
Yass Railway Museum
Sunday 5th November
The Yass Railway Museum exhibits a host of railway memorabilia housed in it's original station building which was erected in 1891, boasting the shortest platform in Australia and including static displays of original period steam engines, carriages and goods vans.
Located in Crago Street Yass, opposite the Aldi car park, special entry to the museum on Sunday November 5 is via a gold coin donation, opening time is from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
The Alpine Classic
4th and 5th November 2017
In 2017, The Alpine Classic will start in the New South Wales town of Yass in conjunction with Classic Yass. It will take our crews through a series of challenging and fun sections on great roads with incredible scenery. The route taken on each day is shrouded in secrecy to keep competition interesting. Overnight our crews will be staying in the Snowy Mountains town of Tumut, New South Wales with an included dinner being held at the Tumut Golf Club on the Saturday evening. The following Sunday morning our crews will start again at Tumut, working their way through a different challenging route with more fascinating country New South Wales scenery, with their afternoon finish being at Yass Soldiers Club, Meehan Street, Yass.
Participating crews have the opportunity to choose a navigation level suitable to them with four navigation categories available:
• Social Tour
• Tour Category
• Apprentice Category
• Masters Category
There are a limited number of crew registrations available for this event so early entry is strongly recommended.
